Basketball Recap: East Ridge Takes a Loss

East Ridge was the 77-61 winner over Prestonsburg when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The East Ridge Warriors were beaten by the Prestonsburg Blackcats 74-40 on Tuesday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-9-1. As for Prestonsburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Ridge will challenge Ridgeview at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prestonsburg, they will face off against Betsy Layne at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Betsy Layne knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 matchups -- so hopefully Prestonsburg likes a good challenge.
