Volleyball Recap: St. Croix Falls Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

St. Croix Falls barely beat Unity the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Saints were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Saints sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

One reason for the win was St. Croix Falls' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-13.

Britta Olson paced St. Croix Falls' offense, picking up 16 kills. Olson got some help from Catherine Williams and her 29 assists. Williams was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

St. Croix Falls' victory bumped their record up to 21-11. As for Unity, their loss ended a seven-match streak of away wins and brought them to 23-13.

St. Croix Falls wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Barron on the 16th. As for Unity, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Spooner on the 16th.
