Softball Recap: Rock Hill Redmen vs. Northwest Mohawks
After flying high against Chesapeake on Monday, Rock Hill came back down to earth. The Redmen came up short against the Northwest Mohawks on Tuesday, falling 16-8. If the Redmen were looking for revenge after losing 8-2 to the Mohawks when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Rock Hill saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Bamer, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Savannah Kidd was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
Rock Hill dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Northwest, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
Rock Hill will take on Gallia Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northwest, they will square off against Western at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mohawks are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
