Basketball Recap: Santa Clara Comes Up Short

Santa Clara was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Gunn Titans, falling 53-30. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bruins have suffered against the Titans since February 20, 2015.

Santa Clara's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Gunn, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Santa Clara won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Silver Creek at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gunn, they and Homestead will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
