Softball Recap: East Comes Up Short

East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Southern Indians, falling 14-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to East of the 14-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

East's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Southern, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East will host Aquinas at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.09 runs per game on average), something East will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Southern, they will square off against Columbiana at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Clippers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
