Baseball Recap: Blacksburg Picks Up 12th Straight Win on the Road

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Blacksburg ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cave Spring Knights 4-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-0 back in April.

Blacksburg's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sam Szefc, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs Szefc has posted since back in April.
