Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Olivia Rooney and Ellie Hepler Lead Warsaw to Victory

Warsaw barely beat Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers put the hurt on the Cadets with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Cadets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The final score came out to 25-17, 27-25, 25-22.

Leading Warsaw to victory were Ellie Hepler and Olivia Rooney. Hepler had 14 digs and four aces, while Rooney had five digs and two aces. That's the most aces Hepler has posted since back in September of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Warsaw was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 13 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Warsaw now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Warsaw wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Leo on the 20th. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, they will face off against Bellmont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
