Smethport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 21-8 to Ridgway/Johnsonburg. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Hubbers couldn't quite close it out.

Even if they lost, Smethport's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Zach Hungiville was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He has been hot for a while, having also posted five or more total tackles the last 11 times he's played.
