Baseball Game Preview: King's Christian Knights vs. Calvary Academy Warrior

King's Christian is a perfect 7-0 against Calvary Academy since May of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Knights will look to defend their home field against the Warrior at 4:00 p.m. King's Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, King's Christian got the win against Solebury by a conclusive 12-2. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won six in a row.

Matty Pancurak was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of MJ Pancurak, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Calvary Academy came up short against Gloucester County Christian on Thursday, falling 13-1. The Warrior have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Calvary Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shawn Fraumeni, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

King's Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Calvary Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Calvary Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: King's Christian has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Calvary Academy, though, as they've been averaging 12 hits. Given King's Christian's sizable advantage in that area, the Warrior will need to find a way to close that gap.
