Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midway). Everything went their way against the Archie Whirlwinds on Thursday as they made off with a 21-0 win. Considering the Vikings have won three games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Midway and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Archie, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Midway will take on Butler at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Archie, they will challenge Harrisonville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Whirlwinds will no doubt try to take advantage of.
