Baseball Recap: King City Takes a Loss

King City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Princeton Tigers. If the Wildkats were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Tigers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

King City now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Princeton, they pushed their record up to 7-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

King City has already played their next matchup, an 8-4 victory against South Holt on the 25th. As for Princeton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-1 win against North Andrew on the 28th.
