Recap: Inglewood Sentinels vs. Chaminade Eagles
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Inglewood Sentinels, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell to Chaminade 39-35. Inglewood's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Inglewood's lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ray Gilbert, who rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns. Gilbert's longest rush was for an incredible 82 yards. Bain Eiseman also helped out as he racked up 159 receiving yards.
Seth Shigg went supernova for Chaminade, rushing for 204 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. Niles Davis was another key contributor, gaining 121 total yards and a touchdown.
Inglewood's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Chaminade, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
Inglewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chaminade will be playing at home against Villa Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Villa Park is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
