Baseball Recap: Caldera Comes Up Short

Ridgeview hit Caldera with a six-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. Caldera came up short against Ridgeview, falling 13-2. Caldera hasn't had much luck with Ridgeview recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Caldera saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Downing, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Josiah Moyes also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Caldera's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Ridgeview, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5.

While Caldera had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
