Softball Recap: Emma Willard Jesters vs. Tamarac Bengals

Emma Willard had lost 11 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 0-9 to make it 12. They lost 14-0 to the Tamarac Bengals. The Jesters were not able to make up for their loss to the Bengals from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

As for Tamarac, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games.

For Tamarac's part, Erin Lee made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave Lee a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

In other batting news, Ashlynn Tomaro was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Toni DeLorenzo, who went 1-for-2 with three runs and one RBI.
