Basketball Recap: Speedway Sparkplugs vs. Franklin Central Flashes

Speedway saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Franklin Central Flashes 68-32. Despite the loss, Speedway saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Madelynn Matelic posted 13 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Matelic has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Hayli Clampitt, who earned six points.

Aniya Doughty was nothing short of spectacular for Franklin Central: she went 7-for-8 to rack up 17 points.
