Basketball Recap: St. Paul's Prep Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

If Heritage Christian Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played St. Paul's Prep, they should've done a better job of containing Wyatt Tate. The St. Paul's Prep Lions walked away with a 26-18 victory over the Heritage Christian Academy Lions on Tuesday thanks in part to Tate, who posted 15 points along with seven boards and six steals. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Henderson, who put up seven points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Heritage Christian Academy lost, don't look at Carson Hicks. Despite the final result, he scored eight points.

The win was the third in a row for St. Paul's Prep, bringing their record for this year to 9-9. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

St. Paul's Prep will face off against Grace Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-34 victory against Cristo Rey Fort Worth on the 31st.
