Baseball Recap: Woodside Comes Up Short

Woodside fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Sacred Heart Prep on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Gators by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by just one run.

Junior Cattaneo was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one double.

Woodside now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Sacred Heart Prep, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-10.

Woodside wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Aragon on the 15th. As for Sacred Heart Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against Capuchino on the 9th.
