Durham Academy waltzed into their contest on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Jordan Falcons. The Cavaliers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

Durham Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-21.

Durham Academy was led to victory by Alice Chen and Savanna Levinson. Chen had 15 digs and two aces, while Levinson had 13 digs. Chen has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 11 times she's played. Hayley Skye also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Despite the loss, Jordan still got an impressive performance from Evelyn Greene, who had 26 digs and one assist.

Durham Academy's record now sits at 11-4. As for Jordan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.

Durham Academy has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against New Life Camp on the 30th. As for Jordan, they will challenge Panther Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
