For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Fort Bend Elkins and Fort Bend Hightower meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Knights came out on top against the Hurricanes by a score of 3-1. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hurricanes, too.

Fort Bend Elkins walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 21-25, 25-20, 25-10.

Nidhi Dronavalli paced Fort Bend Elkins' offense, picking up 19 kills. Dronavalli got some help from Hailee Collins and her 22 assists. Leena Kadir-Balogun controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Fort Bend Elkins' win bumped their record up to 17-15. As for Fort Bend Hightower, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 20-11.

Fort Bend Elkins wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Ridge Point on the 30th. As for Fort Bend Hightower, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Fort Bend Travis on the 30th.
