Softball Game Preview: Moss Point Tigers vs. Bay Tigers

Moss Point hasn't had much luck against Bay recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Moss Point will square off against Bay at 6:30 p.m. Neither Moss Point nor Bay posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Monday just wasn't the day for Moss Point's offense. They lost 10-0 to Pascagoula on Monday. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Meanwhile, Bay sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Harrison Central on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Bea Buice - 2027 was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

Bay hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in seven consecutive contests.

Bay's record now sits at 8-16. As for Moss Point, their loss dropped their record down to 4-19.

Moss Point suffered a grim 14-0 defeat to Bay in their previous meeting back in March. Can Moss Point avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
