Basketball Recap: Berman Hebrew Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus Don Bosco Cristo Rey

With a playoff win on the line, Berman Hebrew Academy rose to the challenge on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Don Bosco Cristo Rey Wolfpack as they made off with a 49-27 victory. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Don Bosco Cristo Rey lost, don't look at Maya Byrd-Gross. Despite the final result, she posted 16 points. Byrd-Gross' evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamy Aviles-Martinez, who scored seven points.
