Soccer Game Preview: Fairview vs. Kirtland

The Fairview Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Kirtland Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fairview's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. Everything went their way against Perry as they made off with a 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Fairview, who have now won six matches by three goals or more so far this season.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Kirtland and Lutheran West had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Hornets walked away with a 3-1 win over the Longhorns on Thursday. Kirtland better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Bram Crisci, as he scored every single goal for his team.

Fairview pushed their record up to 8-4-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Kirtland, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4-3.

Fairview was able to grind out a solid win over Kirtland in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, winning 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
