Basketball Recap: Sherman Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Sherman took on Lake Highlands on Friday. The Sherman Bearcats took a 66-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Highlands Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 351st, while the Wildcats are ranked 20th).

Sherman is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12. As for Lake Highlands, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.

Sherman has already played their next contest, a 57-44 defeat against Andress on the 27th. As for Lake Highlands, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 45-43 loss against Judson on the 27th.
