Basketball Recap: North Rowan Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Allanah Mcauthur and Za'kiya Oglesby-Peck

North Rowan lost against East Davidson back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The North Rowan Cavaliers lost 47-27 to the East Davidson Golden Eagles. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Za'Kiya Oglesby-Peck and Allanah McAuthur certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Oglesby-Peck posted nine points, while McAuthur put up six points along with nine boards and three steals. McAuthur is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Krisstyle Stockton, who scored three points and eight rebounds.

North Rowan's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for East Davidson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-13.

North Rowan will venture away from home to face off against Lexington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lexington will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something North Rowan surely won't give up without a fight. East Davidson has already played their next game (against Salisbury), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
