Whitney Young posted their closest win since April 12th on Tuesday. They skirted past the Amundsen Vikings 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Dolphins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Whitney Young got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 24-26, 29-27.

Whitney Young's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10. As for Amundsen, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitney Young will challenge Northside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Dolphins are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Amundsen, they will head out on the road to square off against Lake View at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: the Wildcats will have lost three straight heading into Thursday's contest.
