Soccer Game Preview: De La Salle vs. Young Audiences

The De La Salle Cavalier will square off against the Young Audiences Yacs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

De La Salle is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering West Jefferson just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Young Audiences won against Wright on Tuesday with five goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Wednesday. Everything went Young Audiences' way against Landry as Young Audiences made off with a 5-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Yacs.

Young Audiences is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those five contests. As for De La Salle, they now have a losing record at 5-6-1.

Everything went De La Salle's way against Young Audiences in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as De La Salle made off with an 8-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for De La Salle since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
