Baseball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall suffered their closest loss since May 10, 2025 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Cambridge Bluejays by a score of 8-6. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Bluejays recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Cambridge, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marshall will face off against New Glarus at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cambridge, they will square off against Fall River at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.29 runs per game on average), something the Bluejays will no doubt try to take advantage of.
