Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lake Oconee Academy walked away with it. They blew past the Portal Panthers 5-1 on Monday. Considering Lake Oconee Academy have won ten matchups by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Lake Oconee Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four contests. As for Portal, they moved to 14-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Lake Oconee Academy will head out on the road to face off against Trion on Thursday. Trion will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Lake Oconee Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Portal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
