Basketball Recap: Suncoast Drops Highest Score of Season Against Forest Hill

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Suncoast). They claimed a resounding 76-39 victory over the Forest Hill Falcons. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Chargers just coasted through the last quarter.

Walter Brinkley had a dynamite game for Suncoast, going 7 of 10 on his way to 21 points. Konner Williams was another key player, putting up nine points along with five assists and five steals.

Suncoast was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kavin Walker, who posted ten points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tim Grice, who scored seven points in addition to six boards and three steals.

The win was the sixth in a row for Suncoast, bringing their record for this year to 16-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Forest Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Suncoast will welcome Palm Beach Gardens at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Suncoast knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Palm Beach Gardens likes a good challenge. As for Forest Hill, they will be playing at home against Inlet Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Forest Hill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.
