Football Game Preview: Covina Colts vs. Los Altos Conquerors + Official Tickets

Two dominant signal callers in Roy Vazquez and DIEGO CASTILLO are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Covina Colts will venture away from home to take on the Los Altos Conquerors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Covina has given up an average of 43.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Covina came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Chino, falling 49-27. The Colts have struggled against the Cowboys recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Los Altos put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down South Hills 21-7. Given the Conquerors' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Huskies are ranked 476th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Los Altos' win came from a few key players Covina will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was JOSIAH CORTEZ, who picked up 139 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 139 receiving yards gave him a new career-high. EVAN ROJAS also helped with two TDs in total.

Los Altos' win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Covina, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Covina didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Los Altos when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 23-18 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
