Basketball Game Preview: Colbert Leopards vs. Soper Bears

The Colbert Leopards will head out to challenge the Soper Bears at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Colbert will be strutting in after a win while Soper will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Saturday, Colbert narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Rock Creek 37-35. Given the Leopards' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Mustangs are ranked 297th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Soper was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Eagletown and fell 71-39.

Soper's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Colbert, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

Everything came up roses for Colbert against Soper when the teams last played on January 8th, as the squad secured a 76-17 victory. Does Colbert have another victory up their sleeve, or will Soper turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
