Maypearl has gone 7-2 against Clifton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Maypearl Panthers will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Clifton Cubs at 3:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Maypearl will head out to face Clifton after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. Maypearl fell to Keene 41-36.

Meanwhile, Clifton suffered their closest defeat since December 27, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of Rogers by a score of 46-44. The Cubs haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Maypearl will need focus on slowing down Brystel Wise, one of several Clifton players who made an impact when they last played. She posted nine points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Delilah Martinez, who put up eight points.

Maypearl's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-6. As for Clifton, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Everything went Maypearl's way against Clifton when the teams last played back in February, as Maypearl made off with a 54-30 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maypearl since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
