Softball Recap: Stratford Takes a Loss

After flying high against Harding last Saturday, Stratford came back down to earth. The Red Devils lost 16-7 to the West Haven Blue Devils on Tuesday.

Shyan Rolle made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Carolyne Burlone, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Stratford's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stratford will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Westhill at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Haven, they will square off against Guilford at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
