Volleyball Recap: South Salem's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

South Salem barely beat Cascade the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Saxons blew past the Cougars 3-0 on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Saxons, who have now won three matchups in a row.

South Salem never let Cascade on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 27-25.

Tim Ganchenko paced South Salem's offense, picking up ten kills. Ganchenko got some help from Connor Wolfgram and his 27 assists. Wolfgram was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

South Salem's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, South Salem will be playing in front of their home fans against McKay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cascade will be paying especially close attention to the Saxons' game: after the Saxons faces off against West Salem, they'll take on Cascade again at 7:00 p.m. on May 1.
