Basketball Game Preview: Redwood Giants vs. Montgomery Vikings

Having just played yesterday, the Redwood Giants will head out on the road to face off against the Montgomery Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Redwood is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.

On Friday, Redwood didn't have too much trouble with Terra Linda as they won 62-43.

Meanwhile, Montgomery won against Santa Rosa on Wednesday with 52 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Montgomery came out on top against Windsor by a score of 52-44. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Redwood's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Montgomery, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Redwood came up short against Montgomery in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 64-51. Can Redwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
