Volleyball Recap: Boca Raton Comes Up Short

Boca Raton was the 2-1 winner over Central when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bobcats fell just short of the Cobras by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Kiara Rose paced Boca Raton's offense, picking up six kills. Rose got some help from Meya Cooper and her six assists. Rose was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Among those leading the charge was Yasmin Berres, who had nine digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since September 2nd. Alexis Clements was another key player, getting six digs and two aces.

Boca Raton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Boca Raton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against King's Academy on the 30th. As for Central, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Westwood on the 29th.
