Baseball Recap: Colton Comes Up Short on the Road Against Orofino

Colton kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Orofino Maniacs, falling 44-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 44-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Orofino's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Colton Wildcats face off against Waitsburg/Prescott Cardinals at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orofino, they will head out to face off against Colfax at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Orofino is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 18.8 runs per game this season.
