The matchup between West Branch and Minerva on Wednesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Warriors were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Lions. West Branch might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by four goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Minerva from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Alinee Bacconi led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

West Branch's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five games. As for Minerva, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1.
