Football Recap: Bureau Valley Comes Up Short

If Bureau Valley was feeling good fresh off their 44-6 takedown of Lewistown/Cuba/Spoon River Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Storm took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Illini West Chargers on Friday. The Storm were not able to make up for their loss to the Chargers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Bureau Valley dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Illini West, they moved to 3-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Bureau Valley will square off against Hamilton/Warsaw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Illini West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monmouth United at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
