Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Alicia Londono and Audriana Anglada Lead Horizon Honors to Victory

There's no place like home for Horizon Honors, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on the Veritas Prep Falcons with a sharp 50-26 victory on Tuesday. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 43-35 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.

Leading Horizon Honors to victory were Audriana Anglada and Alicia Londono. Anglada posted 11 points along with six boards and four steals, while Londono earned nine points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Dorough, who put up eight points.

Horizon Honors smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Horizon Honors pushed their record up to 12-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Veritas Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Horizon Honors didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-36 defeat against Arizona Lutheran Academy on the 22nd. As for Veritas Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-27 loss against Lincoln Prep on the 22nd.
