Football Game Preview: Escanaba Eskymos vs. Gladstone Braves

The Escanaba Eskymos will challenge the Gladstone Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Escanaba will be strutting in after a victory while Gladstone will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Escanaba took their contest with ease, bagging a 39-6 win over Alpena. The Eskymos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 29 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 34 points the game before, Gladstone was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were beaten by Calumet 46-3. The Braves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-3.

Escanaba pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.6 points on average over those games. As for Gladstone, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Everything came up roses for Escanaba against Gladstone in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 50-7 victory. Will the Eskymos repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
