Baseball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Titusville Rockets, falling 8-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Rockets: they've now lost nine in a row.

Franklin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Turner, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Franklin now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Titusville, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will host Sharon at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Titusville, they will welcome Hickory at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rockets are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
