Gavin Black Turns in Season-Best Performance

Permian was led to victory by Gavin Black, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Black's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 177 rushing yards dating back to last season. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 63 yards.

The victory for Permian keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Panthers takes on San Angelo Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Chase Campbell Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

Frenship was led to victory by Chase Campbell, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Campbell picked up 68 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest reception was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Frenship, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Campbell and Frenship are taking a road trip to face off against Midland Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Elijah Mccoy Turns in Another Game with at Least 122 Rushing Yards

Elijah McCoy's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his sixth-straight game with 122+ rushing yards. He rushed for 215 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry.

Midland moved to 4-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. McCoy and Midland will venture away from home to face off against Odessa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Stroman Bridges Goes Supernova in Midland Loss
