Softball Recap: Ringgold Comes Up Short

Ringgold had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 6-10 to make it four. They came up short against the Doyline Panthers, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-9 back in February.

As for Doyline, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Considering they have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Doyline's part, Sariyah Gill made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Gill was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and one stolen base.

Ringgold will take on Arcadia at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Doyline, they will host Minden at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
