Baseball Game Preview: Newberry Indians vs. Rudyard Bulldogs

Newberry is 0-6 against Rudyard since May of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Newberry's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over Cedarville. That 17 run margin sets a new team best for the Indians this season.

Meanwhile, Rudyard didn't have quite enough to beat Harbor Light Christian on Saturday and fell 11-10.

Newberry now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Rudyard, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Newberry suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Rudyard when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
