Basketball Recap: Rowan County Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Rowan County won the last time they faced Lexington Catholic and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rowan County Vikings took down the Lexington Catholic Knights 64-46. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Knights are ranked 158th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rowan County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.9 points over those games. As for Lexington Catholic, they dropped their record down to 6-19 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Rowan County will welcome Boyd County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lexington Catholic, they will face off against Madison Southern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lexington Catholic is facing Madison Southern at the right time seeing as Madison Southern is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
