Volleyball Recap: Wessington Springs Triumphs

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Wessington Springs and James Valley Christian have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Saturday. The Spartans walked away with a 2-0 win over the Vikings. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Wessington Springs took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15.

Wessington Springs' victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for James Valley Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Wessington Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Highmore/Harrold on the 4th. As for James Valley Christian, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Wolsey-Wessington on the 4th.
