Recap: Pelion Panthers vs. Silver Bluff Bulldogs
The Pelion Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 62-12 loss at the hands of Silver Bluff. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pelion in their matchups with Silver Bluff: they've now lost five in a row.
Krystal Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Silver Bluff, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Johnson hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cierra Green, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Pelion has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Silver Bluff, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 15-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Fox Creek the next time they take the court. Silver Bluff will host Fox Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Pelion will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
