Baseball Game Preview: Plainview Bulldogs vs. Wylie Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Plainview will face off against Wylie. Plainview will challenge Wylie at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Plainview heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Thursday. They fell just short of Wylie by a score of 4-2. The defeat continues a trend for Plainview in their meetings with Wylie: they've now lost seven in a row.

For Wylie's part, Dylan Regala was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Regala has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Jace Tomlin was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

The win (which was Wylie's eighth in a row) raised their record to 21-4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Plainview, their loss dropped their record down to 15-14.
