The Auburndale Bloodhounds will challenge the Sebring Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Auburndale is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Lake Gibson with a sharp 10-4 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bloodhounds as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.
Ailenid Lozada spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, Brylyn Miller was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriella Gonzalez, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Auburndale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sebring). They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over Lakeland on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Blue Streaks, who have now won six contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Kamryn Hackett was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Layla Davis, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Sebring is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Auburndale, their victory bumped their record up to 6-20.
Auburndale suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Sebring in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Bloodhounds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
